Abstract:
A recorded medium on which recorded is a game program for causing a game machine to read out a music CD other than a game program recorded on a CD−ROM and to execute a game by reflecting data thus read out onto the game program. Using a recorded medium on which recorded is a game program, a game machine is caused to read out at least the content data of another recorded medium different from the former and of the same type and the content data is compared with rare character emergence data for causing rare characters previously registered in the game program to emerge. If the rare character emergence data matches with the content data, whether a rare character can emerge or not is judged based on the progress of the game and the rare character is caused to emerge if it can emerge.
