Abstract:

The present invention comprises: a video data acquisition unit 120 which acquires video data captured by a camera 210 which captures images of the surroundings of a vehicle; an event detection unit 127 which detects events with respect to the vehicle; a position assessment unit 129 which assesses whether the position of the vehicle is within the capture range of an external camera, the video images of which can be used by the user of the vehicle; and a recording function control unit 123 which, if the event detection unit 127 detects an event during the parking of the vehicle, controls the parking recording function which stores video data captured by the camera 210. If the vehicle is stopped within the capture range of the external camera, the recording function control unit 123 sets the parking recording function to a first state, and if the vehicle is stopped outside the capture range of the external camera, the recording function control unit 123 sets the parking recording function to a second state which is different from the first state.
