Abstract:
A recording device (100) includes an imaging data acquiring unit (120), a movement information acquiring unit (129), and a recording control unit (123). The imaging data acquiring unit (120) acquires imaging data including video data, comprising data relating to video captured by a camera installed in a vehicle, and audio data, comprising data relating to sound picked up by a microphone installed in the vehicle. The movement information acquiring unit (129) acquires movement information including at least one of the movement speed or the movement acceleration of the vehicle. When the imaging data are to be recorded to the recording unit, the recording control unit (123) determines, in accordance with the movement information, whether to record first imaging data including the video data and the audio data to the recording unit, or to record second imaging data including the video data but not including the audio data to the recording unit, and records either the first imaging data or the second imaging data to the recording unit.
