Abstract:
A recording device comprises: a numerical data detection unit which detects numerical data relating to each element concerned with the state of control by a control device; a data storage unit which stores, as time-series data, the numerical data detected by the numerical data detection unit and holds the maximum value and minimum value of the numerical data defined as the time-series data; a logging file creation unit which reads the time-series data from the data storage unit and creates a logging file; and a data comparison unit which compares the maximum value and minimum value held by the data storage unit and the numerical data detected by the numerical data detection unit. The data storage unit updates the held maximum value and minimum value according to the result of the comparison by the data comparison unit every time the numerical data is detected by the numerical data detection unit, and the logging file creation unit adds, as data for retrieval, the maximum value and minimum value read from the data storage unit when the logging file is created to the logging file.
