Abstract:
It is possible to provide a recording device capable of compressing audio information
including inputted audio data and recording it by using a CPU performing compression
and other processes without using hardware dedicated to compression even when
the load on the CPU is high. OS control executes audio A/D conversion control,
converts an inputted audio signal into audio digital data by a digital/analog
mutual conversion unit (14), and causes an audio digital data storage buffer
unit (15) to store the converted audio digital data. After this, the OS control
sets the priority order of the process to be performed by an audio compression
control to a lower priority order than the other processes and executes the audio
compression control. The audio compression control reads out the audio digital
data from the audio digital data storage buffer unit (15), compresses the read
out audio digital data by an audio compression unit (17), and records the compressed
data in an audio data recording unit (19).
