Abstract:
The present invention provides a recording device that is able to reliably connect a recording head and a liquid supply unit to each other and achieve secured ejection from the recording head. The recording device is provided with: a carriage on which a recording head that ejects a liquid is mounted; a liquid supply unit that is connected to a liquid flowing unit of the recording head and supplies the liquid to the recording head; an elastic member that is arranged at a connecting portion between the liquid flowing unit and the liquid supply unit and seals the connection between the liquid flowing unit and the liquid supply unit; a first operating member that is rotatably attached to the carriage, shifts the liquid flowing unit and the liquid supply unit to the connection state by being operated in a first direction, and shifts the liquid flowing unit and the liquid supply unit to the non-connection state by being operated in a second direction; and a locking member that is connected to the first operating member and able to switch between a locking state in which the locking member engages an engagement unit of the carriage to restrict the shift of the first operating member from the connection state to the non-connection state and a release state in which the locking member separates from the engagement unit to allow the shift of the first operating member from the connection state to the non-connection state. The first operating member receives, in the locking state, a force that is received from the elastic member and rotates the first operating unit in the second direction and a force that is received from the engagement unit and rotates the first operating member in the first direction.
