Abstract:
The present invention fixes a recording head in place without degrading an image even when a recording head fitting member expands due to heat. The present invention has: a recording head fitting member (511) in which a first recording head (510a) and a second recording head (510b) are held apart across a prescribed space in the conveying direction, and which has a first reference point (517) and a second reference point (518) that are used for positioning; a first urging member (514) for urging the first recording head toward a first direction in the conveying direction of a recording medium so that the first recording head is disposed in contact with the first reference point; and a second urging member (515) for urging the second recording head toward a second direction opposite the first direction in the conveying direction so that the second recording head is disposed in contact with the second reference point. The first reference point and the second reference point are such that, taking a reference line to be the line of intersection between a surface, including a nozzle surface, of the first recording head and a surface, including a nozzle surface, of the second recording head, a first distance between the first reference point and the reference line in the conveying direction and a distance between the second reference point and the reference line in the transport direction are equal.
