Abstract:
An HDD device housing case (100) houses an HDD device (60) having a disc-like recording medium so as to form an HDD unit (50). The HDD unit (50) can be inserted into and removed from a housing section of an electronic apparatus. The HDD device (60) has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape. The HDD device housing case (100) is provided with a pair of side surface sections (120) that become parallel to the inserting/removing direction when the HDD unit (50) is inserted into and removed from the housing section. Furthermore, each side surface section (120) is provided with a projecting surface section (121) formed by projecting part of the side surface section (120) toward the outer side of the HDD device housing case (100), said projecting surface section being in contact with the side surface of the housing section when housed in the housing section of the electronic apparatus.
