Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a game recording medium that provides better entertainment value such that even when a player fails to enter an input matching an indicator sign, the player is still able to play the game without the feeling of playing an instrument or conducting an orchestra being detracted from. Timing is started together with start of playback of a song, whereupon an indicator sign (33) is displayed upon a time axis (31) (Step S11). Upon reaching of a reference line (32) by the indicator sign (33) (Step S13), a detected input operation is analyzed (Step S16). Then, on the basis of a reference value (52) corresponding to the indicator sign (33), the analysis results are assessed (Step S17). If an assessment is made that a suitable operation was not performed, variation information for the play data corresponding to the indicator sign (33) is identified (Step S19), and pitch, tempo, and the like for the play data are controlled (Step S20).
