Abstract:
A recording medium-receiving device adapted for a digital camera (1) has a connector/card chamber (41) at the left-hand side of the camera, and a connector lid (38) provided with watertight packing (44) and closing the connector/card chamber (41). In the connector/card chamber (41) are arranged a card connector (10) and its insertion opening (41a), a video output terminal portion (12) and a USB terminal portion (13), and a card lid (39) closing the insertion opening (41a). When the terminal portions are in a non-connected state, after a memory card (20) is installed, the card lid (39) is closed, and writing in to and reading out from the memory card (20) are performed with the connector lid (38) closed. When the terminal portions are in a connected state, writing in to and reading out from the memory card (20) are performed with the connector lid (38) open. The recording medium-receiving device has the lid member for protecting the connection portions for a recording medium and an outside device, protection of the recording medium and use of the connectors are compatible, and reliable recording to or reading out from the medium is possible.
