Provided are a recording tape cartridge in which a security recognition member with a low directivity can be stably disposed and a method for fabricating the security recognition member. The recording tape cartridge (10) comprises: a case (12) for housing a single reel (20) around which a recording tape (T) is wound; a leader member (30) provided on an end of the recording tape (T) and led out from an opening (18) of the case (12); a security recognition member (110) configured such that an amorphous magnetic wire (100) having a large Barkhausen effect is spirally wound one turn or more; and a holding portion (120) formed on the case (12) and holding the security recognition member (110).
