Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a recovered-sand cooling system and a recovered-sand cooling method whereby recovered sand can be reliably cooled. [Solution] Provided is a recovered-sand cooling system 1 for cooling recovered sand and adjusting the moisture content of the cooled recovered sand, wherein the recovered-sand cooling system 1 is provided with a sand moisture temperature measuring instrument 2 for measuring the moisture content and the temperature of the recovered sand, a control device for determining an appropriate moisture addition amount which is an amount of water to add to the recovered sand, water-sprinkling cooling devices 4, 5 for adding the appropriate moisture addition amount of water to the recovered and cooling the recovered sand by the latent heat of vaporization of the water to obtain cooled recovered sand, an air introduction device 6 for introducing air to the water-sprinkling cooling devices 4, 5, and an introduced-air temperature/humidity measuring instrument 7 for measuring the temperature and humidity of introduced air introduced to the water-sprinkling cooling devices 4, 5, the control device 3 determining the appropriate moisture addition amount on the basis of the moisture content and temperature of the recovered sand and on the temperature and humidity of the introduced air.
