Abstract:

This rectangular secondary battery comprises: a sealing plate (2) having a positive electrode terminal mounting hole and sealing an opening of a rectangular exterior body (1); a positive electrode terminal (7) electrically connected to a positive electrode plate; an exterior electric conductive member (120) connected to the positive electrode terminal (7) on an outer surface side of the sealing plate (2); and a second exterior insulation member (111) disposed between the exterior electric conductive member (120) and the sealing plate (2). The sealing plate (2) has a first mating recessed portion (103a) more to the center side of the sealing plate (2) than the positive electrode terminal mounting hole, and has a second mating recessed portion (103c) more to an end section side of the sealing plate (2) than the positive electrode terminal mounting hole. The first mating recessed portion and the second mating recessed portion are disposed at positions that are shifted from the center of the sealing plate (2) in the lateral direction of the sealing plate 2. A first mating protruding portion and a second mating protruding portion from the second exterior insulation member (111) are respectively disposed inside the first mating recessed portion and the second mating recessed portion.
