Abstract:

A reduced iron mass cooling method for reduced iron mass producing facility where oxidized iron masses are reduced in a reducing furnace and discharged as reduced iron masses, comprising the steps of disposing a conveyor for conveying reduced iron masses at the discharge port of the reduced iron mass producing facility, disposing a plurality of spray nozzles above or above and below the conveyor at intervals in the direction of conveyance of reduced iron masses, continuously or intermittently spouting cooling water from the spray nozzles to intermittently cool the reduced iron masses on the conveyor&semi and a cooling device.
