Abstract:
A method and device for charging a plurality of reduced iron raw materials (2) into a moving bed reduction-melting furnace and treating the raw materials are provided such that good heat input can be provided to the reduced iron raw materials (2) on a bed mat and the efficiency of the treatment can be improved. The reduced iron raw materials (2) are released downward from the lower surface (24a) of a ceiling (24) of a reduction-melting furnace (10) so as to be set on a bed mat (18) on a furnace bed (16) and reduced on the bed mat (18). The reduced iron materials (2), when falling, are given a horizontal velocity which is in the same direction as the moving direction of the furnace bed (16) and greater than the moving speed of the furnace bed (16). The horizontal velocity enables the reduced iron raw materials (2) to turn in the same direction as the moving direction of the furnace bed (16) after landing on the bed mat (18).
