Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a reduced-pressure steam generator for a vacuum heater with which, during heating, convection flow is promoted in a heat medium liquid at the surface of a heat exchange unit, thereby facilitating the detachment of air bubbles at the surface of the heat exchange unit and thus preventing overheating of the heat exchange unit and suppressing the concentration of localized thermal stress, resulting in a long service life with no decrease in thermal efficiency. [Solution] A reduced-pressure steam generator that generates steam by heating a heat medium liquid filling the interior of the generator, the reduced-pressure steam generator being characterized in that it comprises a casing, a heat exchange unit arranged within the casing, a heat source and a discharge pipe connected to the heat exchange unit, and a filling material filing the interior of the casing, with a wool material arranged on the surface of the heat exchange unit.
