Abstract:
Disclosed is a reel embedding method that ensures that a pair of reels to be embedded in a drive device can be embedded in the drive device. The embedding method includes: a retention step in which a first reel (10) and a second reel (20) are retained on a top cartridge (82) in a non-rotatable manner by a reel retaining mechanism (90) disposed on the top cartridge (82); a demounting step in which a bottom cartridge (84) is demounted from the top cartridge (82); a positioning step in which the top cartridge (82) is conveyed to the drive device (60) while the first reel (10) and the second reel (20) are being retained by the reel retaining mechanism (90), and in which the first reel (10) and the second reel (20) are positioned on a pair of rotating members (64) belonging to the drive device (60); a release step in which the reel retaining mechanism (90) releases the first reel (10) and the second reel (20); a removal step in which the top cartridge (82) is removed from the drive device (60); and a securing step in which the first reel (10) and the second reel (20) are secured to each rotating member (64) of the drive device (60).
