Abstract:
This refractive index measurement device comprises: a cell 1 for storing a liquid sample therein, a fixing member 26 for positioning and fixing the cell 1, a light source 21 for irradiating light of a prescribed wavelength onto the cell 1 via a slit 22, a detector 23 for detecting light that has been irradiated from the light source 21 and has passed through the liquid sample within the cell 1, and a control unit 24 for calculating the refractive index of the liquid sample by, on the basis of the light detected by the detector 23, detecting the angle of the travel direction of the light that has passed through the liquid sample. The cell 1 is configured from a quartz upper surface plate and a quartz body. The body has a storage area 13 that is for storing the liquid sample and is formed in the body as a recess. Further, the upper surface plate has a pair of holes 14 for filling the storage area 13 with the liquid sample and for discharging the liquid sample from the inside of the storage area 13.
