Abstract:
A refractory metal powder for thermal spraying is characterized in that: first particles have a mean diameter of 1 to 10 μm; second particles, to which the first particles are adhered, have a mean diameter of 20-150 μm; and the proportion of second particles, which have diameters of 20 to 150 μm, is at least 70 mass% of the total. It is preferable to control the density and fluidity of the second particles. Refractory metal films of uniform thickness can easily be obtained when thermally-sprayed films are formed by using such a refractory metal powder for thermal spraying with good handling properties and good film-forming properties.
