Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel refractory molded article which exhibits low thermal conductivity as well as exhibiting high homogeneity and high endurance to physical impact and thermal shock. The refractory molded article is characterized in comprising inorganic particles and a bundled inorganic fibre aggregate, and having an internal structure in which the bundled inorganic fibre aggregate is distributed between the inorganic particles. The refractory molded article preferably comprises a binder, inorganic particles, and a bundled inorganic fibre aggregate, and has an internal structure in which the bundled inorganic fibre aggregate is distributed between the inorganic particles which are bound with a binder, or the refractory molded article contains calcium silicate particles as the inorganic particles, as well as comprising a bundled inorganic fibre aggregate, and has an internal structure in which the bundled inorganic fibre aggregate is distributed between the calcium silicate particles.
