Abstract:
A refrigerant evaporator that exchanges heat between a fluid to be cooled that flows externally and a refrigerant that flows internally. The refrigerant evaporator comprises a heat exchange core unit (11) and a distribution tank unit (13). The heat exchange core unit comprises a plurality of tubes (11c) through which refrigerant flows in the vertical direction, said tubes being laminated in the horizontal direction. The distribution tank unit has an inlet port (13b1) that causes refrigerant to flow in and distributes the refrigerant that flows internally such that same flows in from lower end sections of the plurality of tubes. The distribution tank unit has a gas-phase refrigerant retention unit (13e) that retains gas-phase refrigerant and is formed at a site inside the distribution tank unit and in the vicinity of the inlet port.
