Abstract:
A refrigerating air conditioner, comprising a compressor (3), an indoor heat exchanger (6), a first pressure reducing device (10), an outdoor heat exchanger (11), and a refrigerant circuit having a switch (4) for switching the flowing direction of refrigerant depending on an operation mode, heating time or cooling time, and supplying heat from the indoor heat exchanger (6), is further provided with a refrigerant temperature sensor (14c) and an outdoor air temperature sensor (14d) of the outdoor heat exchanger (11) used for judging frost-forming state on the outdoor heat exchanger (11). A plurality of two kinds of defrost inhibition times τ1, τ3 for performing a heating operation continuously depending on the length of the preceding defrost time τ2 can be set. A controller (12) is provided to control a defrost operation so as to set a long defrost inhibition time when a decision is made that a frost amount on the outdoor heat exchanger (11) is small, and to set a short defrost inhibition time when a decision is made that a frost amount on the outdoor heat exchanger (11) is large.
