A refrigerating cycle capable of sealing most portions on a high pressure side at a low load so as to increase a responsiveness to a high pressure, wherein the volume of an evaporator is set larger than that of a high pressure line so as to lower a high pressure due to liquefaction of refrigerant in the high pressure line, even when the valve opening of expansion means becomes zero and the supply of refrigerant to the evaporator is stopped, most portions of the high pressure line can be filled with liquid phase refrigerant before the liquid phase refrigerant left in the evaporator is evaporated completely, whereby the high pressure can be increased by a delivery pressure from a compressor, and the responsiveness to the high pressure of the expansion means can be increased.
