Abstract:
A refrigerating and freezing apparatus and a control method therefor. The refrigerating and freezing device is internally provided with a ripening space for ripening an object to be ripened. The control method comprises: after ripening is started, acquiring attribute information of an object to be ripened; according to the attribute information of the object to be ripened, determining whether ripening of the object to be ripened has failed; and if so, outputting prompt information of ripening failure. On the basis of the method provided by the present invention, the refrigerating and freezing apparatus is able to automatically detect whether ripening of an object to be ripened has failed, and remind a user in time when ripening of the object to be ripened has failed, so that the user accurately controls ripening condition, avoiding problems such as continued energy waste after ripening failure and disappointment of the user's expectations, improving the intelligent level, and improving the use experience of the user.
