Abstract:
The present invention relates to a refrigeration appliance (1) comprising a compartment (3), at least one shelf (4), an evaporator (5), a blowing unit (6) for blowing refrigerated air into the compartment (3) via a plurality of apertures (7, 8), a defrosting unit (9) and a control unit having a defrost mode and a refrigeration mode. In the refrigeration appliance (1) of the present invention, the apertures (7, 8) comprising an upper and a lower aperture (7, 8) respectively opening into the upper and the lower part of the compartment (3). The refrigeration appliance (1) of the present invention further comprises a detection unit (10) which detects the temperatures of the upper and the lower part of the compartment (3) respectively and an opening/closing unit (11) which is controlled to separately change the sizes of the upper and the lower aperture (7, 8) respectively in accordance with the current mode and the detection result.
