This refrigeration cycle device (1) is provided with: a first circulation circuit (11) in which a first compressor (21), a first radiator (22), a first decompression device (24), and a first evaporator (25) are connected in the given sequence, and a refrigerant is caused to circulate via a retention vessel (23) having a space that retains the refrigerant; and a bypass duct (12) that interconnects the bottom of the space of the retention vessel (23) and a portion of the first circulation circuit (11) between the first evaporator (24) and the first compressor (21). The retention vessel (23) is connected between the first evaporator (25) and the first radiator (22) at the side to which the first decompression device (24) is connected of the first circulation circuit (11), and the refrigerant retained in the space of the retention vessel (23) is cooled by a cooling means.
