Abstract:
Provided is a refrigeration cycle device having high reliability by reducing the amount of liquid returning to a compressor while achieving a reduction in hot gas defrost time. This refrigeration cycle device is equipped with a refrigerant circuit where a compressor, condensers, an expansion valve, and an evaporator are connected in series by piping. The refrigeration cycle device is equipped with: a hot gas bypass piping which directly connects between the discharge side of the compressor and the evaporator; a flow rate adjuster which is installed on the hot gas bypass piping and adjusts the flow rate of a refrigerant; a refrigerant state detection means for detecting the discharge superheat degree of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor and the suction pressure of the compressor; and a defrost control means for causing the flow rate adjuster to close during normal cooling operation, and causing the flow rate of the refrigerant to increase/decrease, using the flow rate adjuster, according to the discharge superheat degree and the suction pressure detected by the refrigerant state detection means during defrost operation. At the start of the defrost operation, the defrost control means controls the flow rate adjuster so that the refrigerant having a first refrigerant flow rate flows through the hot gas bypass piping. During the defrost operation, if the discharge superheat degree is greater than a preset superheat degree and the suction pressure is lower than a preset pressure, the defrost control means controls the flow rate adjuster so that the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the hot gas bypass piping becomes higher than the first refrigerant flow rate.
