Abstract:
A refrigeration cycle device has: a refrigerant circuit through which a refrigerant flows and in which a compressor, a first heat exchanger, an expansion section, and a second heat exchanger are connected by pipes; a pressure detector that detects the pressure of the refrigerant in the compressor; and a control unit that controls the operation of the refrigerant circuit and has a protection mode, under which the compressor is protected. The control unit has a calculation means for calculating the variation value for the pressure detected by the pressure detector, and an execution means for executing the protection mode if the variation value calculated by the calculation means is equal to or greater than a variation threshold value set in advance.
