Abstract:
A refrigeration cycle device according to the present invention circulates a first refrigerant that is carbon dioxide through a first refrigerant circuit, and cools a first object using the first refrigerant. The refrigeration cycle device includes a first compressor, a first heat exchanger, an evaporator, a first valve, a first pressure detecting device, a first temperature detecting device, and a control device. The first compressor compresses and discharges the first refrigerant. The first heat exchanger performs heat exchange between the first refrigerant discharged from the first compressor and a second object to cool the first refrigerant. The evaporator performs heat exchange between the first refrigerant and the first object. The first valve is provided on the upstream side of the evaporator in the first refrigerant circuit, and passes the first refrigerant to the evaporator when in an open state. The first pressure detecting device detects a first pressure that is the pressure of the first refrigerant. The first temperature detecting device detects a first temperature that is the temperature of the first object at the evaporator. The control device controls the first compressor and the first valve. If the first pressure is no lower than a pre-set threshold pressure, and the first temperature is no higher than a pre-set threshold temperature, the control device controls the first valve to an open state.
