Abstract:

In this refrigeration unit for a container, the oxygen concentration inside of a chamber of a container (11) is detected by an oxygen concentration detection sensor (51). If the oxygen concentration detected by the oxygen concentration detection sensor (51) is higher than the oxygen concentration of a gas mixture, then a gas mixture which has an oxygen concentration lower than the outside air and an oxygen concentration higher than a target concentration is supplied into the chamber of the container (11). By supplying the gas mixture into the chamber of the container (11), the oxygen concentration inside of the chamber of the container (11) is lowered to around the oxygen concentration of the gas mixture, and thereafter, the oxygen concentration is lowered by the respiratory action of a plant (15). Thus, the oxygen concentration inside of the chamber of the container is suitably regulated and plants can be kept from losing freshness.
