Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a refrigerator and a control method thereof. The refrigerator comprises: a main body in which a storage chamber is provided; a door for opening and closing the storage chamber; and a beverage supply unit which is provided in any one of the main body and the door to provide beverages, wherein the beverage supply unit comprises: a water supply unit; a storage unit in which cold water supplied from the water supply unit may be stored; a filter which is provided inside the storage unit, capable of accommodating beverage powder therein, and carries out filtering so that the components of the accommodated beverage powder are leached in the cold water; a sensor that obtains information related to the concentration of a beverage in which the components of the beverage powder are contained in the cold water; and a processor that identifies the concentration of the beverage on the basis of the obtained information and controls the water supply unit so that the amount of cold water that is supplied is adjusted according to the identified concentration.
