Abstract:
The present invention relates to a refrigerator and a method for controlling same, and the purpose of the present invention is to improve a structure of a cooling compartment evaporator and a control method thereof such that the cooling compartment evaporator can replace the conventional accumulator and defrost heater. To this end, the refrigerator according to the present invention includes a compressor, a condenser, a throttling means, a freezer compartment evaporator, and a cooling compartment evaporator, which are connected to one another through a refrigerant fluid channel to form a cooling cycle, wherein: the cooling compartment evaporator is disposed between the freezer compartment evaporator and the compressor; a linear fluid channel having a predetermined length is formed at the refrigerant inlet side of the cooling compartment evaporator; and a curved fluid channel having a plurality of curved sections is formed at the refrigerant outlet side of the cooling compartment evaporator.
