Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a refrigerator and a method for updating a foodstuff shelf life, relating to the technical field of smart appliances. The refrigerator comprises a tag detection apparatus, a door switch detection apparatus, and a controller. The controller is configured to: acquire information of all electronic tags in the refrigerator by means of the tag detection apparatus in response to a door closing signal from the door switch detection apparatus, so as to obtain a first tag information set. The first tag information set is compared with a second tag information set. If the second tag information set comprises a first electronic tag that does not exist in the first tag information set, a removal time of a first foodstuff associated with a first electronic tag is updated according to a received time of the door closing signal; if the first tag information set comprises a second electronic tag that does not exist in the second tag information set, a placement time and a shelf life of a second foodstuff associated with the second electronic tag are updated according to the received time of the door closing signal.
