Abstract:
The refrigerator is a rectangular container, one side of which is comported a small part of inner space for placing an air-conditioned unit and a refrigerating unit. The air-conditioned unit produces an inert gas and is connected to the storage chamber by ducts and valves. The refrigerating unit is connected with a fan in the storage chamber. An ethylene or carbon dioxide removing unit can be connected to the storage chamber by ducts and valves, if necessary. A humidifier is provided in the chamber. The two parts of the container are airproof each other. The storage chamber is closed by an airproof door. The other end of the container is closed by a venting shutter. Advantage of the above is that inert gas can restrain breath of fruit, minimize its metabolism, furthest delay its after maturation. Therefore, fruits may be preserved for a long period, especially longer than general low-temperature storage. The refrigerator can be used for road, rail transportation and large refrigerated storage.
