A refrigerator has a shelf (108) for subdividing a stowage space in the refrigerator, also has a storage surface (152) for storing articles (200), and further has a retaining bracket (140), which retains the storage surface (152) on the shelf (108) such that it can be pivoted between a swung-in position and a swung-out position.
