Abstract:
Provided is a refrigerator wherein the heat insulation property between a machine chamber and the inside of the refrigerator is improved. A refrigerator (11) is provided with a heat insulation housing (12) comprised of an outer housing (17) composed of a metal, an inner housing (18) composed of resin, and an insulation element (19) filled between the outer housing (17) and the inner housing (18). The refrigerator is also provided with a machine chamber (31) formed by a base member (20) composed of resin. The top of the base member (20) is connected to a backside plate (15) forming the backside portion of the outer housing (17), and the bottom of the base member (20) is connected to a bottom plate (16) forming the bottom portion of the outer housing (17).
