Abstract:
The present invention relates to a refrigerator in which a water tank for storing water supplied into an ice maker and a dispenser is received in a shelf within the refrigerator. The refrigerator according to the present invention includes: an ice maker disposed within a freezing compartment; a dispenser disposed in a front surface of a door; a water tank slidably disposed in a shelf within a refrigerating compartment; a pump for pumping water stored in the water tank into the ice maker and the dispenser; a passage for connecting the water tank to the pump; and a silicon inflow hole defined in a rear surface of the shelf, and having one end connected to a discharge hole of the water tank and the other end connected to the passage. Thus, the water tank, in which purified water is stored, but which is not a direct water supply system, may be received in the shelf within the refrigerator to supply water into the ice maker and the dispenser through the pumping of the pump.
