Abstract:
With respect to a refrigerator which is adapted to capture an image of the inside of the refrigerator and provide the captured image, the purpose of the present invention is to prevent dark images with poor visibility from being captured when the inside of the refrigerator is in a dark condition. This refrigerator comprises: a brightness detection unit which detects the brightness in the interior of a storage unit irradiated with light by a light source while the door of the refrigerator body is closed; and an imaging restriction unit which restricts capturing of images by a camera if the brightness inside the refrigerator detected by the brightness detection unit is low. Thus, it is possible to prevent dark images with poor visibility from being captured when the inside of the refrigerator is in a dark condition.
