Abstract:
A refrigerator comprising: a main body; a door for opening/closing a front-surface opening in the main body; a lighting device that is provided in the chamber, which is the interior of the main body, and that turns on when the door is opened; a control unit for controlling the operation of the lighting device; and a shelf for partitioning the chamber. The shelf is configured from a transparent member through which light passes, and the lighting device is arranged so as to radiate light toward the interior of the shelf from a side surface of the shelf. A diffuse reflection region for diffusely reflecting light is formed in the shelf.
