Abstract:
This refrigerator is equipped with a refrigerating chamber and an ice-making chamber disposed below the refrigerating chamber, the refrigerator comprising: a water supply tank that is installed in the refrigerating chamber and that stores water to be supplied to the ice-making chamber; an ice-making device that is installed in the ice-making chamber and that makes ice from the water supplied from the water supply tank as driven by a water supply pump; a float device that is removably installed in the water supply tank and that has a float; a reed switch that is installed in a position corresponding to the float device in the refrigerating chamber and that is activated by the float; and a control device that determines the amount of water in the water supply tank on the basis of the activation state of the reed switch and that sets a water supply pump operating time.
