Abstract:
A refrigerator comprising a refrigeration chamber, a compressor that compresses a refrigerant, a damper that regulates cooling air for supply to the refrigeration chamber, and an electrostatic atomization device that is positioned in the refrigeration chamber and applied high voltage to atomize water. The electrostatic atomization device has, as operation modes: a normal operation mode in which the electrostatic atomization device is operated once per two or more prescribed cycles, e.g., a cycle of an opening action and a closing action of the damper, or a cycle of an operating action and a stopping action of the compressor; and a forced action mode in which the electrostatic atomization device is operated in each cycle.
