Abstract:
A refrigerator equipped with a refrigeration chamber and an ice-making chamber provided below the refrigeration chamber with a partition member interposed therebetween, the refrigerator comprising: a water supply tank having a tank container that stores water to be supplied to the ice-making chamber and a water supply pump that is disposed in the tank container and draws in and discharges the stored water, the water supply tank being housed in the partition member; and an ice-making device that is installed in the ice-making chamber and makes ice from the water supplied from the water supply tank by driving the water supply pump. The water supply pump has: a water supply port for drawing in water stored in the water supply tank; a propeller that rotates in the forward or reverse direction; a drainage pipe that discharges the water drawn in from the water supply port to the outside of the tank container by the forward rotation of the propeller; and a circulation pipe that discharges the water drawn in from the water supply port into the tank container by the reverse rotation of the propeller.
