Abstract:
This refrigerator has: a shield case in which an opening is provided to the front side and which is fabricated from a metal material; a first electrode disposed inside the shield case; a second electrode provided inside the shield case so as to face the first electrode with spacing therebetween, the second electrode forming a heating space for dielectrically heating a food product located between the first and second electrodes; an oscillation part for generating an AC voltage to be applied between the first and second electrodes; a door that connects or separates the heating space and the exterior of the shield case; and a first sensor for detecting the door in a closed state. When the first sensor detects the door in the closed state, the oscillation part generates the AC voltage. If the sensor becomes unable to detect the door in the closed state while the AC voltage is being generated by the oscillation part, the generation of the AC voltage by the oscillation part is stopped.
