Title:
REGENERATED CELLULOSE FIBERS, COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING REGENERATED CELLULOSE FIBERS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/021277
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: regenerated cellulose fibers which are able to be suppressed in environmental load and are also able to be easily and reliably increased in elastic modulus; a composite material which comprises the regenerated cellulose fibers; and a method for producing the regenerated cellulose fibers. Regenerated cellulose fibers according to the present invention have a matrix phase and needle-like phases contained in the matrix phase, and are characterized in that: the matrix phase has a cellulose II crystal structure; the needle-like phases have a cellulose I crystal structure; and the needle-like phases are oriented in the axial direction. It is preferable that the needle-like phases have an average length of from 2 μm to 4 μm (inclusive) and an average diameter of from 3nm to 100 nm (inclusive). It is also preferable that the content of the needle-like phases relative to 100 parts by mass of the matrix phase is from 2 parts by mass to 25 parts by mass (inclusive) in terms of solid content.
