REGENERATIVE BRAKE DEVICE AND MOTOR-ASSISTED VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH THE SAME

Disclosed is a regenerative brake device in which energy is effectively recovered by application of a suitable regenerative brake which is adjusted in correspondence to the amount of operation of a lever by a user, without the input brake function being obstructed, and in which the travel distance of the vehicle can be extended and the battery lifespan increased. When a user operates a brake lever (142), a brake sensor output signal corresponding to the amount of operation of said brake lever (142) is input from a brake sensor (500) to a control circuit (620), and an input brake sensor output signal undergoes linear conversion to a regenerative braking force required value according to a converted data value obtained by prior measurement such as shown in a conversion graph, and a regeneration operation corresponding to the converted regenerative braking force required value is performed. When this occurs, a motor-assisted bicycle (100) steadily slows down, in the play section of the brake lever (142), according to the regenerative braking force produced by the regeneration operation.
