Abstract:

A regenerative braking device of a dump truck is provided with: an engine; a first generator and a second generator that are driven by the engine; a travel motor driven by the generated power of the first generator; and fan motors to which the generated power of the second generator is input via a first rectifier circuit. The regenerative braking device is further provided with: a resistor body to which the regenerated power of the travel motor during regenerative braking is supplied and which is cooled by fans driven by the fan motors and converts electric energy to thermal energy to release heat; and a DC/DC converter that inputs a part of the regenerated power supplied to the resistor body to the output lines of the first rectifier circuit via a second rectifier circuit.
