Abstract:
The present invention relates to a regenerator for increasing thermal efficiency. The regenerator according to one embodiment of the present invention is connected to the exhaust section of a heating apparatus so that the regenerator accumulates heat by passing fluid of high temperature which has been discharged from the exhaust section. The regenerator comprises: a body section; an inlet section formed in one surface of the body section for injecting the fluid of high temperature; an outlet section formed in the other surface of the body section for discharging the fluid of high temperature; and a plurality of plate-shaped members provided in the body section in such a manner that the plurality of plate-shaped members form layers in the shape of partitions in the body section, wherein the plurality of plate-shaped members are formed with a plurality of holes. According to the present invention, it is possible to maximize thermal efficiency and reduce the generation of smoke by reducing fuel consumption. In addition, living convenience can be obtained by longer time intervals between fuel injections. Furthermore, the regenerator according to the present invention may be additionally mounted to an existing heating apparatus without changing existing residential and heating systems, so that the regenerator is easily installed, economical and particularly beneficial for low income groups.
