Abstract:
The disclosed region recommendation device, region recommendation method, and program can improve the usability of a GUI by identifying positions on a screen at which there is a high probability that a user will select an object. Said region recommendation device (100) is provided with a visibility analysis unit (101), a selection probability analysis unit (102), and a recommended-region identification unit (103). On the basis of the order in which regions on a screen (50a) are looked at (a viewing order), the visibility analysis unit identifies a frequent-view region, for which the viewing order fulfills a set criterion, from among regions other than the region where an object to be selected is. On the basis of probabilities of various objects being selected (selection probabilities), the selection probability analysis unit identifies a frequent-selection object, for which the selection probability fulfills a set criterion, from among objects in the frequent-view region. On the basis of the viewing order, the recommended-region identification unit identifies a recommended region, suitable for placing the object to be selected, from among regions other than the region where the frequent-selection object is.
