A registration method and apparatus, and a terminal. The method comprises: when a universal subscriber identity module (USIM) is inserted into a terminal, the terminal detects whether a first access point name (APN) successfully registered by the USIM to a network exists locally; when detecting that the first APN does not exist locally, the terminal obtains a second APN corresponding to a specified parameter of the USIM; and the terminal registers itself to the network by means of the second APN. The present disclosure resolves the problems in the related art of a terminal failing to register itself to a network to needing to again query for an APN parameter corresponding to a new USIM due to the fact that a parameter of a locally-stored APN is wrong or the new USIM is inserted into the terminal for the first time.
