Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a reinforced fiber composite resin production method for the purpose of obtaining a reinforced fiber composite resin which demonstrates excellent rigidity. The reinforced fiber composite resin production method includes: a sheet forming step of forming a sheet from a raw material containing a first resin and a second resin; and a composite prepreg acquisition step of bringing the sheet and reinforcement fibers into contact with one another and subjecting the sheet and the reinforcement fibers to molding, thereby obtaining a reinforced fiber composite resin containing a resin layer comprising the first resin and the second resin, and also a layer of the reinforcement fibers, the method being characterized in that the first resin has a higher tensile modulus of elasticity than that of the second resin, the sheet has a sea-island structure comprising a sea phase containing the first resin and an elongated island phase containing the second resin, and that the method further includes, in the interval from the start of the sheet forming step to the completion of the composite prepreg acquisition step, a selective cross-linking step of selectively cross-linking at least a portion of the second resin.
